Policy Hawk Studies has approximately 1,000 subscribers and reaches decision-makers and practitioners across government, the Canadian Armed Forces, defence industry, academia, and the engaged public. Subscriber open rates have averaged approximately 50% since Policy Hawk Studies launched in November 2025.
Articles regularly attract between 1,500 and 2,500 total views, extending beyond the publication’s subscriber base through organic sharing and cross-posting to X, where @CDNPolicyHawk has an established audience of nearly 5,000 followers. Combined, the publication’s specialized readership and wider organic reach give sponsors a focused way to build visibility within Canada’s defence and security community.
Publication sponsorship
Publication sponsorships are currently available as a pilot at an all-inclusive rate of C$500 per month for an initial three-month term. Up to four sponsors may participate at one time, all receiving the same placement. Continuation beyond the initial term requires the agreement of both parties.
Each sponsor receives:
Its name, logo, and website link on this page for the duration of the sponsorship.
An acknowledgement and website link at the beginning of three suitable Policy Hawk Studies articles.
The standard sponsor acknowledgement will not appear on an article where, in the view of the publisher, it would create a clear conflict of interest. If fewer than three suitable articles are published during the sponsorship period, any outstanding acknowledgements will be carried forward to later articles where no conflict exists.
Editorial independence
The publisher retains sole editorial control over the subjects Policy Hawk Studies covers, the arguments it makes, the sources it uses, when it publishes, who writes or contributes to its content, and the conclusions it reaches. Sponsors receive no advance review, approval, or veto. Sponsorship does not guarantee coverage, favourable treatment, protection from criticism, a particular publication schedule, or that any article will be written by the publisher personally.
All sponsorships will be disclosed. If an article discusses an active sponsor or its interests, the standard sponsor acknowledgement will be omitted and the relationship will instead be disclosed in an editorial note.
Sponsorship does not include sponsor-written advertising, promised social-media coverage, access to audience data, or audience targeting.
Policy Hawk Studies maintains the right to decline or end a sponsorship at any time for any reason, including where the relationship creates a conflict—or reasonable appearance of one—that cannot be managed through disclosure, or that a sponsor has attempted to influence editorial judgment.
Other ways to work with Policy Hawk Studies
Inquiries about commissioned writing and research, briefings, interviews, panels, and speaking engagements are all welcome. These arrangements are separate from publication sponsorships.
Any commissioned work published through Policy Hawk Studies will be clearly identified as such, and commissioning work does not confer influence over independent Policy Hawk Studies coverage.
